As we approach the end of 2010 it is a natural time for reflection on the positives, and areas with room for improvement, in our personal and professional lives.
An article in the Daily Telegraph this week reports that almost a third of Britons think 2010 has been the worst year of their lives, according to an annual survey of the nation’s happiness. Fears over money, relationships and redundancy dominated the list of the most common worries over the past twelve months, according to research from the Samaritans. A less common worry but certainly one in the minds of bursars up and down the country has been pupil numbers and doing more with less from a financial perspective.
But enough of the doom and gloom, we’re glass half full here at Minerva! 2010 has been a fantastic year for us! We have saved our clients literally tens of thousands of pounds and hundreds of man (or woman) hours in dealing with supplier negotiations and administration on their behalf.
Our business continues to grow as news of our quality of service reaches more independent schools.
We will only be a short way into 2011 when it will be time for bursars to start drafting and refining budgets for the 2011/12 academic year. Why not make it your New Year’s resolution to let Minerva help you reduce your costs and refine your procurement practices.
In the meantime may we take this opportunity to wish all our clients, prospects, business contacts and friends a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous New Year.
