This month we are joined by Neil Limbrick. Neil has been in education for 22 years undertaking various strategic IT roles in schools and MATs with particular success in developing systems to improve functions and efficiency.
IT Audits can be split into three very clear categories:
- Things that you have to do such as ensuring you follow the Department for Education Standards on Audits
- Things that you should be doing namely adopting Cyber Essentials
- Things that you could do to ensure that you are getting the most out of your IT provision both in terms of the tech you use and the skills of your IT team
Neil will be looking at how you can tackle your IT Audit so that you are compliant and getting the most out of your kit. In addition he will run through the benefits, or otherwise, of doing the Audit yourself, or getting an external provider to do it for you.
